Wanted to share some BTS from the making of my latest short, and my first found footage film as a director (and writer). CAUGHT ONE was filmed in April, officially submitted last night, and will premiere at @texastheatre on May 25th as part of the @texashorrorcult film competition. Months ago, I asked @mccailynlowry what was something she’d always wanted to make, and without hesitation she answered “an alien!” So when this competition was announced, I reached out to her the same day and told her she could do whatever she wanted. The alien design and SFX process was entirely her own creation, and I’m blown away by what she pulled off here with a meager budget. I can’t wait for everyone to see it in action. Across the board, my cast and crew were exceptional in bringing this little film to life, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their talents and hard work. Special thanks to @situmorangstunts for helping me safely pull off an awesome wire stunt, and to @amymichellemcintyre for providing the location and helping me produce. 📸 @navalabs & @coleperrine

I recently purchased a set of Pentax Super Takumar lenses (non-SMC version), which were cine-modded here locally in DFW, and wanted to test them out. I had also recently bought the Sirui 1.25x anamorphic adapter and was eager to see what that looked like, as well as wondering how they might pair together. So, I got some friends together and we had a fun day playing around with lenses and lights.
