𝐻𝓎𝓅𝑜𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓈𝒾𝓈 𝓅𝓇𝑒𝓈𝑒𝓃𝓉𝓈: 𝕮𝖊𝖓𝖆𝖈𝖊𝖆𝖊 🌪️ Join us to be engulfed by a night of post-club chaos and glory at Cenaceae’s Irish Debut and sonic sensibilities complimented by local support. @cenaceae is a Kentucky-based producer and DJ whose sound drifts between serenity and rupture. Shaped by early encounters with experimental music, cenaceae emerged from the online underground to carve out a eminent space in the deconstructed club scene. Echoes of minacious squeals and lingerings of humanistic textures: fragile yet fierce, each track offers a shimmering meditation on vulnerability and presence.   Conjuring her electric, ambient, folk inspired sound, Pippa Molony (@pippala ) will ground us in the opening act. (@lychee800 ) Polyp’s future focused and genre-agnostic palette will inform their playful dj recital. @julialouiseknifefist ’s live, raw, noisey, hardcore performance will infect us with pure elation and vitality. @2manycolours_ will guide us into the darkness of the night with his abrasive, euphoric sounds. And @reflekta_ will serve a creamy, dreamy, bass-driven selection of tunes.   🕯️Saturday 7th of June 🕯️22:00-04:00 🕯️ Daylight, Glasnevin. *Submissions Open* 🫢 Join us on an investigation into the absurdities, problems and potentials of life in the urban and suburban environments. What are the secrets of these terrains beyond their fronts of sophisticated architecture, neoliberal systems and manicured aspirations? This fan vid event will be curated by myself, Ruby Fitzsimons. My visual art practice interrogates the dissonance and forms of alienation that comprise contemporary Irish Culture. My daily commute from rural land to city centre in recent years, has sparked my heightened interest in the absurdity of neoliberal, urban aesthetics and the confusing tension between our ideas of the ‘natural’ and the ‘artificial’ in this world. I was inspired to extend this theme and contribution opportunity to the rich social pool that is the fanvid follower base, to explore these, often isolating, mysteries from diverse perspectives, in a final unified screening occassion. Have you got a video you’d like to share that explores “(Sub)urban Surrealism”? We’re open for submissions of assorted interpretations of the theme until Thursday 10th of April at 23:59ish (limited slots available). *Generally attendance to the fanvid screening is required if you would like to submit a moving image work, but that is not completely necessary for this programme.* The submission form is in my bio + fanvid account bio :) Come along, let us revel in the surrealism of (sub)urbanscpaes. 🛤️
