Booked a race in Spain thinking we’d get some nice weather… safe to say that didn’t quite happen. @transgrancanaria
The plan was to survive the tough conditions on the first night, then push hard during the day and finish the following night. Instead, high winds and freezing temperatures turned it into a battle against the elements. It definitely didn’t go to plan, but we got it done.
A huge thank you to our crew chief @char_fay11 and my parents for crewing us throughout the race. They had a challenge of their own, driving around the mountains in zero visibility to meet us at aid stations. Having them there made a massive difference and played a huge part in helping us finish.
On to the next one 👀
Furthest and hardest race to date especially going into it not feeling 100%. 100k + 7200ft in elevation gain, some seriously nasty hills not made easy by the heat but I got it done 🫡 and as always thanks to my support crew @charlottefay111 ❤️ #ultratrail
