@reecebeats and i hosted a q&a for upcoming artists and producers at @empire studios and what stood out to me most wasn’t even the music questions.. it was how many people in the room were tryna to figure out how to trust themselves again. we talked about consistency, grief, social media, discipline, purpose, and the weird pressure of feeling like your life should already look further along because of what you consume online every day. people spend so much time watching other people move that they slowly lose confidence in their own timing..
we spent a lot of time talking about fear. fear of posting. fear of being seen trying. fear of making something honest and having people not respond to it. but one thing i truly believe is that creating something imperfect in public will always be more fulfilling than endlessly protecting something perfect in your head..
