#1 question I get: what the heck is a coach? tl;dr someone who doesn’t tell you what to do
before I started my training I didn’t know either and it surprised me. most of us grow up with sports coaches and plenty of people who know stuff call themselves coaches so you’d think it’s someone who tells you what to do. wrong 🙅🏻♀️ at the end of the day, advice from someone else rarely sticks. we’re stubborn. we like coming to our own conclusions. we know ourselves better than anyone else.
a coach isn’t a mentor, therapist, consultant, here to diagnose, fix, give you answers. a coach is someone who listens, offers perspectives, reminds you of your own agency.
that’s my job as a coach. to make space for you to figure it out.

imposter syndrome doing the most 😮💨
it can show up even when you’re prepared, qualified, and experienced. 52% of creators have reported experiencing this sometimes or often in a recent study by @creators4mentalhealth .
some perspective shifts for you:
• maybe doubt isn’t a truth teller
• maybe it’s your brain attempting to protect you from being seen, judged, misunderstood, or rejected
• maybe the takeaway is to notice doubt (without handing it the steering wheel)

celebrating finishing a year(ish) of coach training (and I know what you’re gonna ask, what the heck does a coach actually do? just stay with me 💁🏻♀️).
one huge diff I wanna bring to the table is free coaching to my community. most people don’t get support bc of costs. and normally someone in my position would do the “buy my course” model. I wanna do it differently.
