Meet @redhat.creative 🍅🥕🌶️: Hi, I’m Mia! I’ve spent the last 6 years building my brand, Red Hat Creative. What started as a love of thrifting and sewing, along side an education in environmental sustainability, quickly turned into the creation of a business making and selling one-of-a-kind upcycled appliqué pieces! Some of my earliest memories in life include spending time with both of my amazing grandmothers. One would take me to garage sales in small town Minnesota, blasting ABBA on the radio and teaching me the art of the bargain hunt. The other, a painter and artist, taught me how to sew, as well as instilled a persistent creative curiosity in me from a young age. I feel it is only fitting that I ended up pairing these within the art I get to create! Many of my designs include organic shapes of fruits and vegetables. I draw a lot of my inspiration from the richness of what our natural world provides and the vibrant, beautiful nature of these delicious jewels! My business continues to grow and change over the years and recently I’ve been so excited to be sharing my art through patterns, kits, and a monthly mail club :) We’re so excited for some amazing giveaways & drops coming with Mia, stay tuned ❤️
