This was one of the most joyful and entertaining weddings I’ve ever filmed! :) Tomorrow marks one year since Zoey and Aaron promised each other forever. Their ceremony took place at the picturesque Dublin Bay in Wanaka, and in the afternoon, we flew up to Coromandel Peak. Every couple is different. So why should every wedding film start the same way?! 🤷 @kimberlee_jayne and Leighton shared their vows privately – words that weren't heard at the ceremony and weren't shared anywhere else. To honour that intimacy, their film begins without music. Just slow, establishing shots of the landscape, the natural world, and its subtle movements and sounds. This short excerpt from Taylah and Jim's highlight film is a good example: As @mrs.tbulitavu.x.o speaks in her vows about the long, sometimes difficult road that brought them here, we see them walking through a dense forest - wading through the undergrowth toward the light filtering between the trees. They pause now and then, showing affection and closeness in quiet, unspoken ways.
