Redfreya makes her debut on Eastern Standard with a release that extends beyond the functional
language of the club, articulating a wider electronic music vision rooted in experimentation and
intent.
Drawing subtle connections between the early days of electronic music research and post-
millennium approaches, her sound carries echoes of Matthew Herbert’sconceptual sensibility —
where rhythm, texture, and idea move together with purpose rather than convention.
To close the release, Jepe taps into his disco lineage, reshaping the original material into a warm,
fluid reinterpretation that reflects the different facets of his musical personality, adding contrast
and depth while remaining closely aligned with the release’s overarching vision.

Tomorrow I’m heading to Belgium 🇧🇪 but wanted to share a couple updates today.
Things have been looking up for me/ recently & generally, life felt softer and lighter and I think I’m healing (from some of the pain and intense numbness of grief the last year ❤️🩹 ). I’m starting to feel more like myself again, but it’s a slow process. It’s kind of a re-awakening.
