2. THE DEFINING MOMENT: an opportunity for young dancers to perform on stage in a supportive, non-competitive environment. It’s up to you to DEFINE YOUR MOMENT! Please note space is limited and registration is on a first come, first served basis. Accepting solos, duets, trios, and groups.
3. REDEFINER PARTY: a celebration for all dancers to connect, move, and have fun together!

THE DEFINING MOMENT | JAN 2, 2026 | MKE
THE DEFINING MOMENT is an opportunity for young dancers to perform on the REDEFINE dance stage- ensuring a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment. Dancers will receive feedback directly from the REDEFINE panel and in an exclusive opportunity, be required to perform each dance twice- once before and once after feedback. Through an inclusive, immersive, and progressive approach, THE DEFINING MOMENT will change the future of how young dancers approach, experience, and learn from performance opportunities.

At the end of our first day of convention classes today, the TN/SNR room participated in a REDEFINE REFLECTION. The question asked here was “What does it mean to REDEFINE a dance space to you? What is your role as a dancer within that vision?”
This response touched everyone listening as this dancer shared this aloud, and it reflects the core purpose and values of REDEFINE DANCE CONVENTION. 💜

DARE TO DEFINE is an educational component designed to better equip dancers as they navigate the professional world. The commercial option is geared towards opportunities such as music videos + cruise ships, while concert is geared towards a professional contemporary company. Ages 10+ only.
