The Flag is about resonance and tension - about how sound, objects, spaces, movement and our bodies, are imbued with history. It's cyclical and immersive, and you're free to come and go, move around it or linger with it.
This reel features the poster for the work, designed by my long-term collaborator Blackbird Design @redbloc . I felt so happy bringing Red into this project and into what feels like the beginning of a new era of public outcomes for the work I've been making.
I'm also finishing a companion text that traces the ideas and inspirations behind the piece, which I'll share in the coming days. Final rehearsals begin next week. Excited to see this dream live!
