📍Opening tonight @hollistaggartdowntown Ashanté Kindle So Much More, 2026 Hair knockers, barrettes, beads, foam, and acrylic on wood panel 12 x 12 x 8 in. (30.5 x 30.5 x 20.3 cm) Hollis Taggart Downtown is pleased to present Material Memory, a group exhibition featuring new and recent paintings and sculptures by seven contemporary artists, Megan Baker, Edward Holland, Ashanté Kindle, Hans Neleman, Cordy Ryman, Kelly Wang, and Michael Wolf. Material Memory proposes that memory is not something we recall, but something that is physically constructed and embodied in surfaces, bodies, systems, and structures. Across painting, relief, sculpture and assemblage, the artists in the exhibition treat memory as an active process that is built through accumulation, altered through time, and sustained through material form. The works do not illustrate the past, they retain and remake it. Curated by Eleanor de Ropp Flatow, the exhibition celebrates the first anniversary of the Hollis Taggart Downtown, and underscores the gallery’s continued commitment to emerging and mid-career artists. It will be on view from May 15 through June 20, with an opening reception on Friday, May 15, from 6-8pm. 109 Norfolk Street New York, NY 10002 See you there, NYC! 🖤 #ashantékindle @ashantekindle

📍Red Arrow @ NADA NYC with Margaret R. Thompson This new collection of work by Margaret R. Thompson explores painting as a source of sacred ecology. Mountains morph into spinal columns, flowers become stars, water acts as memory, and the human body serves as a vessel through which earthly and cosmic forces converge. Combining personal observation, automatic drawing, and symbolism, the artist builds interior landscapes where light, ritual, and renewal connect viewers with the “current” of life, both interior and external. Across these paintings , recurring forms—shells, flames, birds, moons, vessels, and flowering bodies—offer a dreamlike, mythic world rich with symbolism that invites viewers to discover their own narratives within. Red Arrow Booth D2 NADA New York May 13–17, 2026 VIP Preview (by Invitation) Wednesday, May 13, 10am–4pm Open to the Public Wednesday, May 13, 4–7pm Thursday, May 14, 11am–7pm Friday, May 15, 11am–7pm Saturday, May 16, 11am–7pm Sunday, May 17, 11am–5pm The Starrett-Lehigh Building 601 W 26th Street, 3rd Floor New York, NY 10001 Enter on 11th Avenue Between 26th St. & 27th St. For inquiries or additional information, please email [email protected] 📷: Mikhail Mishin #redarrow #margaretrthompson #nada @newartdealers

🎯 Brianna Bass Abomenari 40 x 40 inches  Oil on canvas 2026  “Abomenari is an ancient Roman religious word that means “to avert an omen.” The nature of cosmological phenomena–eclipses, auroras, solar storms, black holes–are “sublime” in that our experience of their beauty is rooted in terror, vastness, and power.  We encounter something that could overwhelm and destroy us, and that terror, through beauty, is transfigured into awe. The circle holds the chaotic states of the universe in balance: eternal return, orbits, cycles of life, and atmospheres like rings of protection.” -Brianna Bass We have some good news to share about Brianna soon! Stay tuned! For inquires and information on Brianna Bass please email [email protected] #briannabass #redarrow @briannabass
