As you know I wrote an open letter to @southwarkcouncil regarding their failure to meet an antiracist challenge set out in the Black Culture Conversation Report. Having the opportunity to share this with my peers at the anti-racism workshops led by @writerznscribez really affirmed that I need to stay unrelenting if I am going to be an advocate for the unheard.
I have that tallawah energy and I mean to use it to make change. Not talk about change... but implement it. Rebellion can be quiet but is never silent!
What a week. Looking at texture, form and portraiture as we discussed the meaning of identity and the impacts of significant heroes of African Caribbean heritage. Thank you to @southwarkcouncil for funding this @kingswood.arts and Kingswood community. Can't wait to see these up in the cafe.
