A late 2025 look back but would be rude not to. The most brutal beautiful and silly year of my life thus far. Grateful for every challenge followed by moments of joy, everyone that I’ve worked with, my family and friends old and new. Truly the year of the snake 🐍 In May I walked 340km up and down many a hill and mountain across Spain, slept in a monastery, walked at least 100km alongside a priest who then served me communion in the pilgrim mass at the Catedral de Santiago. I spent the rest of summer being a hooligana during the Women’s Euros and watching yet another England v Spain final (stress). And I got my first 1st AC TV credit!! In September I was arrested for peacefully protesting and holding a cardboard sign opposing a genocide and the proscription of P@lestine @ction (and caught on BBC News stress smoking my 5th vogue cig lol), spent that night in a custody cell. Then because life is extra silly, went on to work on a film around a real working prison. I’ve recently spent my Saturdays painting and drawing portraits something that I’ve found very scary and avoided for years. Built lots of cameras, wore a few of great fits, played lots of jazz music to cows and danced anywhere and everywhere. The final dreamy cherry on top, thanks to my final job of the year, can now say that I’ve saved a couple of goals at Wembley ❤️‍🔥 Oh and ended the year seeing in 2026 in Rio at Copacana beach 🇧🇷 I feel very rich and lucky for all the places and experiences life has taken me to this year and all the people I’ve met and paths crossed. Thank you to those who have supported me along the way and have hired me/brought me onto jobs and kept me ticking 🫶

It’s been 2 months since I walked 340km through Asturias and Galicia on the Camino Primitivo, I’m not sure I’ll ever find the right words (or selection of pictures) to describe the experience but I’ll give it a go. It was one of the hardest things I’ve done both physically + mentally. I went in search to come back to myself but also to find connection with others. But that first week, whilst the views through Asturias were absolute beautiful and breathtaking, there were a lot of times I never felt more alone, walking much of the time by myself - and there was a harshness in having to find solace and acceptance with that, in that moment, but also I felt in life. The day of Ruta Hospitales which has 1200m elevation, on the top of the mountains above the clouds, I genuinely thought I entered heaven, surrounded by wild cows and the sound of the bells - I would have happily stayed there forever. However the descent and what followed I can only describe as entering hell’s infierno where the path to the town seemed never ending, the heat was relentless, not a lick of shade in sight and zero facilities aka water! But I made it in the end! Going into the second week is when I feel like I really started to become friends with truly amazing people of all ages, from all walks of life and from all over the world. We walked together, we drank and ate together and talked about love, life, religion, spirituality, our crossroads, the world and our places in it. And I really wasn’t as alone as I thought I was. Maybe I never had been. When I got to Santiago de Compostela the first thing I saw was the 🇵🇸 flag in the square, I had walked in that day with the flag on my backpack, and I just fell to ground and cried because there were so many times I didn’t think I would make it and seeing the flag also there I just felt solidarity. I think about this trip every single day. And the days I really think about it I want to cry about the whole experience not for sadness or happiness per se but just pure emotion of how everything happened. It was one of the most brutal yet beautiful experiences. A true yin and yang. It broke me and put me back together again all on the same path.

Incase it wasn’t known, I love a bloody long walk. This was the Cuckmere Pilgrim Path which is an 18km circular walk (somehow clocked 22km but probably due to getting lost a few times). The path links 7 ancient churches and at each one you can get a little stamp (dopamine reward levels on 100). Started in Berwick and halfway in there was a very cute lovely village called Alfriston to stop for a cheeky half, lunch, and mooch in some shops but not for too long for me as had to get a move on as I started the walk a bit late. Anyway definitely recommend.

The very next day after Ballan and I had completed walking 113km in 4 days, I got an email from @mothdrinks saying I'd won a competition (the first person didn't reply oops) for VIP tickets to Mighty Hoopla plus a hotel stay 💅 and our chill weekend plans were v promptly cancelled. Honestly what a ride! 💗🌈💫
