Thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU
We’re struggling to find the words to express how powerful of an experience last night’s fundraiser show at
@paperbirchbooks was for all of us, but one thing that we can safely say is how proud and grateful we are to be a part of such a special and generous community.
Together with your help we were able to raise just under $2,200 for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund to help children in Gaza and the Middle East at large to receive access to the medical care that they need!
This wouldn’t have been possible without every single person who bought a ticket, and donated their time and money to a cause larger than themselves. Even when we were at maximum capacity and had to turn folks away at the door, many people still chose to donate despite not being able to enjoy the show with the rest of us and there were also many who donated extra cash on top of the tickets they purchased for the show.
An extra special thank you goes out to Kym and Steve Vickruck, an incredible couple who upon hearing last night that we had raised $1100 in ticket sales for the PCRF, generously donated $900 to help us get to $2000 which is just a truly staggering amount of generosity.
We truly couldn’t have done this without the support of
@paperbirchbooks who generously hosted this event and our friends in
@wayfindercan and
@reasonablecreatures who brought such a lovely crowd and atmosphere as they played incredible unplugged sets.
In addition to the money we raised for the
@thepcrf , we were joined by Aidan who raised awareness for
@pssar.ca and their mission to help Palestinian students accepted into Canadian Universities come to Canada. With the generosity of everyone present at the show, we were able to get all of the postcards signed and ready to be mailed to the Immigration Director to hold them accountable.
In addition we’d like to thank
@dilligentmedia for capturing the joy and vulnerability of the night in these wonderful photos.
Finally to
@benjamin.caufield for doing all of the hard work of organizing this event, running the sound, and setting up ticketing and everything else you did to make this happen. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
