𝘘: 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯?
The Invisible Orange! I followed them on IG about 3 years ago and only got the courage to talk to the man behind the company in February of 2025. We started working together the same month, and it cemented how correct I was in choosing to be a part of Vancouver’s metal scene. I don’t think any other experience would’ve helped me get out of my comfort zone and make connections as fast as working with The Invisible Orange has.
𝘘: 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦?
For the bands: streamlined, easy, and rewarding. For the audience: exciting, engaging, and safe. If I’m not responsible for the box office, I’m usually running around the venue to ensure that everyone has all their needs met. Even once the show starts, I still find myself checking in on everything; it’s easy to forget about something when the music begins, but that’s what pushes me to stay alert.
𝘘: 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴?
Definitely being able to see locals grow their numbers with every show. I love working with the same people over and over because each time I get to see the crowds grow bigger and the interactions between fans & band members strengthen. I love being able to participate in and help their success, especially when their presence and energy is really something that more people should be exposed to.
