If you follow my personal account at all, it should come as no shock, and go without saying, that a lot is happening right now and I'm trying to devote more energy and time to anti-racism, campaigning, and mutual aid work. With that in mind I'm taking a break from freelance design work. If you are an organization focused on racial justice, mutual aid, indigenous rights, or decolonization I'll do anything I can to support you and I would love to design for you for free. The purpose of this post is to let people know that if I had an ongoing project with them it's on my mind and I'd still love to do it, but my timelines might shift a bit. I will likely not be taking on any additional work until I strike a balance between all the things I'm trying to do, and the projects I've currently got are completed.

I've been slowly growing a bunch of plants, now I'm gonna try quickly selling a bunch of plants. Every dollar earned will go directly to @bushwickayudamutua not sure when they'll all be planted and ready for pickup, but follow @notaplantstore to keep updated or get involved!

Depending on the needs of the organization I'll either offer my skillset, volunteer some time, or a send donation! Whichever setup works best for them! And I really do mean it, I'm sorry for the actual marketing, I've just got some time on my hands and I'd love to make some stuff!

This week I got to create the most meticulously crafted and well researched PowerPoint I've ever had the freedom to put together. About a guy so heartbroken he learned the secrets of the Egyptians, defied conventionally theories of electromagnetism and built himself a 1,100 ton Castle Fort, a woman who spent her life gallivanting up and down France sword fighting in bars, singing in the opera, and burning down convents to make out with her girlfriend, and two Popes whose hatred for one another transcended death more than once. History is far weirder than anything we'll ever make up.
These are scary times and there's a lot of information out there. Please stay home unless you absolutely need to leave. Please wash your hands. Please disinfect. Please get your information directly from the CDC and World Health Organization. Please thank the Healthcare Workers and Essential Service Workers in your life. Please remember the importance of all of them everyday for the rest of your lives. And to show your respect for the work that all of them are doing, please stay home.
I'm very tired of getting emails from every brand/business/organization that had my email on a list telling me how this situation is actually a growth opportunity.
Absolutely not, people are going to die, systems that were in place to manage this didn't function, people treated it lightly, and now the harm is very literally immeasurable.
