Somewhere in between: sitting in front of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty while speaking about Ragtime and its 11 Tony nominations.
And now for my 2025 theater in review š¤ - I saw 21 shows on Broadway this year. That is 10 less than in 2024, but I wasnāt fighting for my life in 2024 like I was in 2025 so this makes sense. Many great shows and a handful of floptinas, but a great year nonetheless. š
A theater year in review. Itās a tradition I have each new year to revisit the shows I saw throughout. In 2024 I saw 31 different shows on Broadway š¤, and many more off-broadway. Some Broadway standouts for me were Merrily, Stereophonic, Oh Mary, and Cabaret.. but Illinoise was IT for me. Off-Broadway, Cats, Ragtime, Gatz and Teeth took the cake.
I loved supporting so many friends who worked tirelessly on shows like Yellow Face, Days of Wine and Roses, Suffs, and Gatz and Iām so thankful for the friends and family who showed up to support me on Uncle Vanya, McNeal, and more! Canāt wait for all the shows to come in 2025!
Ugh, mom always overdoes it with the Christmas decorations, (67 trees? So extra) but itās always nice to revisit my childhood home for the holidays!
Jk - but I did have the best time visiting Biltmore Estate and supporting the WNC community that still needs so much after the terrible storms.
