Wow! What a weekend. It’s hard to pick out my highlights as the whole visit to Wigtown was just amazing. From meeting and being interviewed by one of my favourite crime writers @lynnejmcewanwriter to seeing THE SILENT TWIN on shelves around town, and sampling the glorious soup and cake at @readinglasses17 .
I also loved the pop-up bar and visited more than once!
The vibe in Wigtown was beautiful, a huge shout out to @associationwigtownbooksellers and @oldbankbooks and all the wonderful authors. It was an honour to be amongst you.
We stepped into @wellreadbookswigtown at just the right moment on Saturday as the pink fizz was being poured and I enjoyed my chat with Marsali Taylor. This morning we adopted a gentler pace after a busy weekend and enjoyed a wee read on the green before heading home . Now looking ahead to the book festival and my next Wigtown fix in the autumn …

Artemis II successfully launched yesterday with mission specialist Christina Koch on board. She is the first woman to ever travel to the moon and, in doing so, fulfils the modern technological promise of the Goddess Artemis by going where no woman has gone before. Perhaps now is the time to read 2024 Booker Prize winner Samantha Harvey's Orbital - a contemplative, humanistic perspective of space travel from the lived experience of the crew of the International Space Station as they look back at Earth. #artemis #indiebookshop #nasa #samanthaharvey #orbital
Welcome to our newly launched @associationofwigtownbooksellers (AWB) instgram page. Details coming soon about our upcoming Spring Book Weekend...stay tuned

My Antonia by Willa Cather is featured in this month's 'Drama on 4'. Born in 1873 to a family who had farmed in Virginia for generations, she graduated from the University of Nebraska and became a teacher and journalist. In 1912, she abandoned journalism to write full time. My Antonia is Willa Cathers most famous novel and introduces readers to the world of frontiering and farming the Great Plains. Established as one of Americas foremost writers, she won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1923. She died in 1947. #indiebookshop #womensbookshop #womeninliterature @bbcradio4 #willacather
