Big ol’ HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my darling honeybear, Ellen! Thanks for all the love and laughs we’ve had in the last year. You’re the kite flying, radio repairing, dog serenading, crafty and creative, love of my life. Thanks for being so helpful and good at everything I struggle with. I would be lost without you!

New Book Club Alert 📣 Join us for Anti Monopoly Localism Book Club “We live in an age of consolidation. A handful of corporations control what we eat, what we watch, what we read, what doctors we can see, and where we work. Your groceries, your neighborhood, your job, your community’s health: all of this and more is shaped by monopoly power and the people who wield it to influence policy in their favor. In this book club we will read books that trace how we got here and about those who are fighting back. Think accessible history, case studies, and light policy. No dense academic texts, just well-argued, engaging books. Regardless of your familiarity with this topic, everyone is welcome. The idea that this is too complicated to understand and should be left to the “experts”? That’s not an accident. Part of what we’re here to do is cut through the noise, because an informed community is exactly what concentrated power doesn’t want. Our goal isn’t just to understand the problem, it’s to do something about it. That means sharing the local businesses we love, intentionally shifting our spending away from consolidated retailers when we can, supporting local financial institutions, celebrating the freedom and courage it takes to pursue entrepreneurship, and building a community of people who are putting their values into practice.” -Austin Gentry, Host of the Book Club

It is imperative we read texts by radical lesbians of color to understand how anti-Queerness, racism, and misogyny are projected onto bodies. Join us May 13th for part 1 of 2 discussing "No!"
