The Least Glamorous Phase of Hotel Design… and Somehow Our Favorite
@lido_house update from 📍Newport Beach.
Right now it’s a lot of wires, waterproofing, field measurements, HVAC, tile layouts, and what most people would probably describe as construction chaos. But this is actually the phase where the entire experience starts getting built behind the walls.
The doors and windows are officially installed, the third floor is enclosed, and for the first time the project is really starting to feel like a space instead of just a job site.
Nicole is upstairs with our tile installer finalizing placement details while we walk floor by floor reviewing plans, lighting coordination, low voltage, and making sure every detail is locked in before drywall goes up.
It may not look beautiful yet… but this is the part that makes it beautiful later.
