Marvin Beekman ( @marvinbeekman ) challenges the fashion industry’s wastefulness by transforming unsellable thrift store garments into innovative designs. His collection, WA(I)ST, reimagines discarded materials through deconstruction and reconstruction, creating adaptable silhouettes that embrace diversity and body inclusivity.
The name WA(I)ST reflects its purpose: ‘waste,’ for the reuse of forgotten garments, and ‘waist,’ for the designs’ flexibility and universal appeal. With every piece, Marvin brings his vision of sustainability to life, proving that waste can inspire something extraordinary.

Printed color in the darkroom for the first time yesterday, decided to go with this image of Miko shot in 2021 on 35mm #cinestill800t.
Let me know what you think!
Really enjoying the learning process of printing in color as well as black and white. Definitely looking forward to making some bigger prints of my 120 negatives soon.
If you have any advice or cool techniques for learning to print it would be much appreciated :)
Really grateful I got to spend a day in the park with these lovely people🖤
Again and again, I notice how much energy I get out of doing what I love: Talking to people and taking their portraits.
