The Willow Creek Bike Park is becoming a reality and now the community has a chance to DOUBLE its impact.
Redwood Coast Mountain Bike Association is proud to partner with Willow Creek Community Service District, Humboldt Skate Park Collective, and the Redding Trail Alliance to help revamp and expand the Willow Creek Bike Park into a skills park designed for riders of all ages and experience levels.
With support from a California Proposition 68 Rural Recreation and Tourism grant, the bike park is currently being designed and rebuilt by the Redding Trail Alliance.
A major contribution from the Redwood Coast Mountain Bike Association last fall helped fund the conceptual design phase of the project. During the input phase, North Coast biking communities and Willow Creek residents shaped the park’s evolution.
The project has serious momentum:
-conceptual plans are complete
-funding commitments are already in place
-construction is already underway
Now we’re asking the community to help push this project across the finish line.
RCMBA and Willow Creek CSD have each committed $15,000 toward a matching donation campaign-meaning the next $30,000 donated by the community will become $60,000 directly invested into the future of the park.
That means:
$5 becomes $10
$20 becomes $40
$100 becomes $200
This matching campaign runs through June 1st.
Shovels are already in the dirt. Now it’s time for the community to help bring it home.
Donate now and help build something lasting! Link in bio.

We're so proud to partner with the Willow Creek Community Services District to fund the conceptual plan that @redding_trail_alliance is using to expand and improve the Willow Creek Bike Park.
RCMBA has committed an additional $15,000 in matching funds to help see this project through to completion. If you’re able, please consider donating to help make this park a reality! It's so close!
Huge thanks to Charlie and the Humboldt Skate Park Collective for hosting the GoFundMe and to everyone who’s supported this effort along the way. This is community in action. Link to donate in story!

Dirt is moving. Features are taking shape. It’s happening.
The redesigned Willow Creek Bike Park is coming to life, and the progress is getting real. What started as a vision is turning into something truly special out in Willow Creek.
This is a park built by and for the community—and we’re not done yet. This project is about creating something lasting for riders of all skill levels, and there’s still time to be part of it.
Donations are still being matched, which means your support goes twice as far right now. Donations are tax deductible, and every contribution helps bring this park to life.
As construction continues, now is a great time to support the project and help expand riding opportunities for the Willow Creek community.
The results of the 5th and final Banana Slug of the season are in! See Strava for all the details.

Happy Mother's Day to the moms of the RCMBA board! Swipe ➡️
These ladies wear a lot of hats — riders, builders, organizers, volunteers, community cheerleaders, and more. Between careers, kids, and everyday life, they continue to show up for the cycling community in a big way.
To them and all the moms out there balancing bikes, kids, work, dirt, and dedication: we see you. Thank you for continuing to lead by example and proving that trailblazers come in all forms. The MTB community is better because of women like you.
Keep shredding, ladies. 🤘

Join us Saturday, May 9th for a trail work day in Mckinleyville! We will be installing trail signs, clearing brush on some overgrown trails, and extending the roll-in for crocpack to accommodate bigger groups of riders lining up to hit the flow trail.
We ask that you bring some drinking water and any trail snacks you crave, park mindfully at the Murray Road lot.(unless you’re riding from town that is!), and tell a friend!
Please register if you plan to attend so we can plan trail work and tools accordingly. We ask that you submit separate registrations for each person in your party.
We'll neet at the Murray Road parking area, approximately 1 mile up from Central Avenue.
See you out there!

Lacks Creek Trail Day Recap 🏕️ 🌕
From the very beginning of the Lacks Trail system, our partnership with BLM (@mypubliclands ) has been about showing up for each other and for these trails—and this weekend was a perfect example of what that looks like in action.
We had a solid crew of 10 volunteers and campers putting in the work: sprucing up the jump line, cleaning Chutes and Ladders, and getting things dialed after recent machine work. This is how we keep momentum going—working together to bridge gaps and keep public land projects moving forward.
When the tools went down, the good stuff kicked in. The crew was treated to the Tim Daniels special—tri-tip grilled over an open fire—while we kicked back at camp, shared stories, and made new trail memories.
We were sitting above the fog on a classic, Bristol sunny Lacks day, and when night rolled in, the full moon lit up the sky while the stars put on a show. One of those nights you don’t forget.
Huge thanks to everyone who came out and continues to support this partnership and these trails. This is what it’s all about.
Dig. Ride. Eat. Camp.
