Spazzy Staccato #1 (2025-2026)
Acrylic and pastel on panel
24 x 18 inches
โณ An idea I have been thinking about for years and finally found the language to bring it to life. As someone who likes to move on things fast, sitting on ideas for a while felt very strange and like they were never going to happen. Lesson learned - now thinking of paintings for now and for the future. ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐ ๐ฎ

๐ She Sells Seashells ๐ 2024-2025, 24 x 18 inches, pastel on paper
Things have been shifting in the studio this year leading me to abandon more things than I have actually completed. I revisited this drawing recently as it felt way too foreign when I first started it. Now, it feels more aligned with where things are headed and Iโm excited to share it. Hopefully ๐๐ I will share some paintings soon! ๐ค๐ผ
Itโs been too difficult finding the right pictures to sum up the vibe for this wonderful day, but the scotch eggs stole the showโฆas did the 70s tunes ๐บ๐ป๐ชฉ

๐The beaches of Maine have had a profound impact on me, both as a kid and as an adult. I treated our time there this summer as a self-imposed residency - drawing and photographing to capture the energy that I feel there. I found myself captivated by the micro gestures I observed in some of the seaweed and felt the need to translate that to paint. ๐๐ฆ
