I love ferns! We have somewhat of a collection of different ferns growing here in the yard and garden (at least 12 kinds). These are called Sensitive Fern, which normally grow in shady areas along streams and wet areas, but here they are growing in a sunny dry area, go figure!
I’m drawn to the architecture of small rural churches, and the stories held in their cemeteries. This is Jenkins Chapel out in Cocke County, TN. There isn’t much information online but it seems to have been established around 1900, with the present chapel being built in 1926. The Palladian windows with their colorful glass must have been considered very fancy in their day.

I learned how to make band saw boxes at Arrowmont this week, in Think Outside The Box class with Talia Drury.
My idea was to make a box like a retro TV, where the screen slides out like a drawer. We all had so much fun and learned a lot in a very short time!
