🍁 Vermont’s sweetest season is here.
Just behind the inn, our little sugarbush is waking up. The days are getting warmer, the nights are still cold, and the maple trees are starting to run — which means it’s time to tap them and collect the sap that will become our very own maple syrup.
Over the next few weeks we’ll be gathering sap right here on the property and slowly boiling it down into small batches of pure Vermont maple syrup that we’ll have available at the inn.
Fun fact: it takes about 40 gallons of maple sap to make just 1 gallon of syrup, which is why every drop feels a little bit magical. Vermont also produces more maple syrup than any other state in the U.S. — over half of the country’s supply.
There’s something special about watching this process happen right outside the door. Winter slowly turning into spring, one bucket of sap at a time. 🍁

ONE OF US (LIVE AT TANK - BURLINGTON, VT - 7.18.24) /// On the final day of recording our latest album, ‘One Of Us,’ at Tank Recording Studio in Burlington, Vermont on July 18, 2024, we presented these new songs live for the first time ever in front of an audience with just 35 fans in attendance for each of two sets.
Tank let the proverbial tape roll and captured the performances as we teetered between the adrenaline rush and focused expression of debuting this brand new music and attempting to crack the material wide-open through improvisation.
The recordings are now available at our Bandcamp (link in profile) as a free download eight months to the day from when ‘One Of Us’ was released by Royal Potato Family on March 21, 2025.
