Friday, I had the privilege of facilitating the lakeside chat with Mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson. This discussion was productive and focused on the development of creative expression in the city, as well as supporting students and the people of Chicago.
Alongside this conversation was the For Women, By Women showcase. The amazing artwork reflected true talent, expression, and the beauty of women’s creativity.
I am honored to have shared space with Mayor Johnson again, as well as having President Bolton lead us in meditation, and President of SGA Jenna Davis open up the event.

Raymia who is from Cincinnati, OH, is a film and TV major at Columbia College Chicago.
The Queen shone not just in her beauty, but in her display of talent, confidence and scholarly brilliance.
Miss Krimson and Kreme Scholarship Pageant was filled with the best and most amazing young women out there, every one of them as beautiful as they were brilliant, it was a tough call but Raymia emerged as the first among equals.

Lotus Ladies is a Christian-based nonprofit mentorship organization under Know Your Worth, founded by my pastor, Prophetess Michelle Henderson. I’ve had the honor of being part of this organization and being poured into by such powerful, inspiring women.
Thank you to my pastor @masterofconfidence for guiding me and being a woman I will forever look up to and admire. Thank you to my mother @chandratenille for being my anchor and for always leading me with strength and grace. I’m so proud of you both.

I am very honored to have met the Mayor of Chicago, Mayor Brandon Johnson, at City Hall today. As president, I had the opportunity to represent Black Student Union alongside my SOC representative and share space with other student leaders and city officials to discuss education in Chicago.
I am always grateful when God opens doors like this for me. I take education and leadership seriously and aim to help build strong and safe spaces for others while leading.

Black Tech Week 2025!!
This doesn’t even cover half the amazing things BTW has to offer but I’m so grateful for the opportunity to connect and learn from some incredibly successful people over the past few days. It’s inspiring to see my people doing amazing things and to receive wisdom from them. Gaining insight from powerful Black women like Keke Palmer and Fawn Weaver was truly unforgettable!
