Welp...I did that thing again.
Everyone, meet Louie! He's my newest addition to the tribe (a few more pups and we are going to be able to have our own second line parade). Chewie (Baca) was a close second, but the name was a bit too similar to Chloe’s, and I didn't want any confusion.
Louis Armstrong was born on August 4th, 1901, and as a big jazz fan, I loved the name Louie. Plus, it fits since all our other pups are named after Louisiana and New Orleans! **thanks Laura Kerwin 🙂
He's about 16 weeks old and is an adorable beagle mix. All four of them get along wonderfully, and it's so nice to have a medium-sized pup who can happily play with Chloe or take on Mardi! Momma Nola Grace couldn't care less, but she still likes him.

I understand buying a new pet or if your animals have babies is super cool...BUT, when you rescue a pup there is just something so special about two hearts finding each other when it is least expected.
Shout out to my buddy Christina Fulford who rescued this pup 7 years ago and posted to social media. Once I found out he was a Catahoula Leopard (state dog of Louisiana) I knew I had to have him.
Thanks for 7 great years Mardi(gras)...our little home wouldn't be the same without you.
PS...sorry Chloe is obsessed with wrestling and biting your ears.
