What a wonderful experience it was teaching at PCC Continuing Education Program this spring!
Harvesting Colors with Iron ,
Was packed with amazing students and beautiful shades of natural blessings.
The colors we garnered were oak, marigolds, cotinus and madder root. of course iron was the bell of the ball.
We mordanted, dyed, rust printed and steamed textile and papers.
It is so magical to watch every person interact with the processes and manifest samples.
Not to be overly dramatic but this is a gateway to a life changing journey.
I will be teaching more courses this fall so stay tuned if you’re interested in learning through that venue.

Every day we should prioritize earth!
It seems there is a great lie being feed to us as to our role in this wild planet we inhabit
It is not our right to rape and squeeze all the resources just because we feel dominant
It is our duty to cultivate and educate for a better earth
What does that look like?
-Being conscious of how and what we use
-Treat your body like a temple and then treat the land like your body
-protect the land for future generations
-learn and share knowledge about sustainable earth blessings
March was abundant!
Plants started blooming as the garden gives promise for the abundance to come.

Local harvested plants and minerals will bring the colors and patterns you will make.
