When an unhappy young boy discovers an older man quietly affixing painted eggshells to a disused wall in their neighbourhood, he begins to understand how even the smallest, strangest acts can leave behind something lasting.
Now on its festival run across the USA, Canada, and Croatia. The World Premiere will be at the 56th annual USA Film Festival in Dallas. Wales/UK/European premiere at the 15th Carmarthen Bay Film Festival. Nominated for Best Short Film at the 79th Yorkton Film Festival. Screening in Croatia at the International Sound & Film Music Festival.

Reeling from an incredible loss, a father and daughter cling to a bedtime routine keeping them safe in a town where an unfathomable horror visits night after night.
This award winning short shows a glimpse into how survival can depend on doing the strangest things, and why breaking a simple routine can lead to dire consequences.
The fear of being stuck in a monotonous cycle where every day is the same is a clear inspiration here. This is something that resonates with us all. We’re born free but forced to work to survive and not to live. We also see how this routine acts as a coping mechanism for loss.
This short creates a sense of dread and suspense like no other. Although we’re viewing people living seemingly normal lives, the threat of an unknown creature invading their homes each night looms in the back of our minds.
I for one hope Hide is a proof of concept for a feature length production. With a runtime of just around 15 minutes, it left me wanting so much more.
