1939, quelque part dans le Midwest américain : Barbara Fowler, ancienne enfant prodige de la littérature et son mari, Richard, auteur de romans Pulp, s’installent à la campagne, où ils se retrouvent pris dans un triangle amoureux avec leur domestique profondément religieuse. Un examen envoûtant d’un monde voué à disparaître.

Director Graham Swon returns to Acropolis @2220arts in two days for the Los Angeles premiere of his new feature AN EVENING SONG (FOR THREE VOICES), a dream-like meditation on love and loss starring Hannah Gross, Deragh Campbell, and Peter Vack.
Swon, an acclaimed producer of films by Ricky D’Ambrose (THE CATHEDRAL), Matías Piñeiro (HERMIA & HELENA), and Joanna Arnow (THE FEELING THAT THE TIME FOR DOING SOMETHING HAS PASSED), was previously with us in 2020 the LA premiere of THE WORLD IS FULL OF SECRETS.

About the film:
1939, somewhere in the American Midwest: to combat former child-prodigy writer Barbara Fowler’s (Hannah Gross) debilitating agoraphobia, she and her pulp-fiction scribe husband, Richard (Peter Vack), move to the countryside where they become entwined in a love triangle with their deeply religious maid (Deragh Campbell) in this trance-like examination of a world destined for extinction.
