Raven is a Samoan-Tokelauan non-binary artist and pro wrestler who channels rage and destruction through movement, storytelling and embodied resistance.
Raven’s picks:
1. Pageant Moon - I Love Pres! We have a deep rooted love and connection together calling from similar life experiences and an enriching sharing of those differences.
2. Fetu x Fetu’u - Being a Queer Polynesian artist myself, a lot of the themes of the work are intrinsic interests of mine, as well as loving the work/practise/art of Laga and Afakasi.
3. MDF (medium density fantasy) - There’s a special warm place in my heart for these artists, having worked along side Jessie Mcall a lot and the honour of calling her a dear friend. Also “A rupture of the pacts of formal presentation” YES PLEASE.
4. Materiel World - I had an ADHD stint of archery which also led to an interest in bush craft survival as well as an apocalyptic obsession. Also what the fuck is an ethical bullet.
5. Hulla Gulla (Chaos Party) - Artists I adore. Duration. Chaos. Love. Fierceness and ferocity. All things I love and things I yearn.
