selectors* an underground electronic music session blending digital and vinyl dj sets in the basement of teatro matamoros, morelia.
rastro developed a spatial-light system centered around a custom-built metallic monolith designed to anchor a laser source. the structure functioned both as a sculptural object and a precision mount, enabling a vertical beam projection onto a ground-level mirror.
this reflection redirected the laser into a volumetric field, enhanced with controlled haze to materialize the beam, resulting in a dynamic light curtain behind the dj booth. the system was further expanded through laser mapping workflows using madmapper, allowing modulation of the beam behavior in sync with the environment.
the dj booth was designed and fabricated as an extension of the installation’s visual language.
surrounding the space, 7 nautical fixtures were deployed and programmed via dmx using touchdesigner, generating a reactive, immersive lighting atmosphere across the venue.
a study in reflection, density, and controlled light behavior within a confined underground architecture.

a gesture / un geste / un gesto.
rebecca brodskis at centro de las artes de san luis potosí.
over the course of 10 days we documented the process behind rebecca brodskis’s exhibition — accompanying the artist through the installation of the show and the creation of a large-scale mural developed on site in the days leading up to the opening.
a gesture marked a special moment in her practice: the first time many of her works were brought together and presented in a single space. the exhibition reflects on the idea of the gesture itself — a simple human action capable of crossing language, culture and identity. in brodskis’s paintings, gestures become a way of reconnecting with others beyond individuality, through presence, touch and shared humanity.

losdosuno at laguna sipalitos, tulum.
a gathering shaped by water, nature and human connection.
music as a shared language, the space as a meeting point.
over 100m of natural unbleached canvas, cut into 4m drops in two widths (1.20m and 1.40m). patterns were drawn manually, rebuilt as vectors, and laser-cut into the fabric for clean negative space.
the panels were rigged across the site—hung on palm trees and along the palapa perimeter—to shape light, shadow, and airflow.
the dock came alive under laser mapping—its structure was re-drawn in motion with laser linework (edges, planks, rails, and contours), layered in passes that traveled along the pier and out toward the water, then synced to the music for controlled timing and rhythm.

yoyaku.
a paris-based collective and record label known for its minimal, deep and experimental approach to electronic music. a global reference in the underground scene, bringing artists whose sound is precise, immersive and meticulously curated.
for the lighting and stage setup the design and build was a 3.5 × 3.5 m dj booth out of 1/2” steel tube, with a custom top for mixer, cdjs, turntable and live set. the whole structure was wrapped in natural cotton and a second white layer, turning the inside lighting into a soft, indirect glow. placed right in the middle of the venue, the booth created a full 360° experience with the crowd surrounding the dj.
above it, floated a 3 × 3 m lighting structure, also in 1/2” steel tube, with laser-cut steel panels inspired by one of yoyaku’s records, wrapped in white fabric to diffuse the light. around the space we added 6 screen totems with experimental black & white visuals, moving heads, lasers and spots to build a true audiovisual environment.

kurhikuaeri,
