AI isn’t neutral, as growing evidence shows. In today's blog, we share insights from Thema Monroe-White’s research seminar on how bias, identity, and power shape scientific knowledge and AI systems. A key message: data-driven tools and algorithms are shaped by the people and cultures that produce them. For classroom educators, the blog offers practical takeaways on how you can address bias in AI systems in your teaching and foster empowering discussions with your students. You'll find out how to help them question how these systems work, whose perspectives are represented, and whose are missing. 🔗 Read our latest blog to learn more: rpf.io/blog-ai-bias-power

We’ve just launched Stage 2 of our Certificate in Applied Computing ✨ Building on Stage 1, the stage supports learners to develop more specialised digital skills with greater independence, combining modular learning with portfolio-based assessment. The certificate programme is delivered in partnership with Greater Manchester Combined Authority as part of the Manchester Baccalaureate (MBacc) and is currently only open to schools in the Greater Manchester area. Each stage builds on the last to help learners develop their skills, but learners do not need to start at Stage 1. If your learners already have strong foundational digital skills, they can start at Stage 2. Find out more on our updated certificate homepage: rpf.io/stage2launch
