Oscar’s Frozen Custard & Sandwiches is once again serving customers in a beautiful new building, complete with an expanded double drive-thru and a welcoming outdoor patio. raSmith was honored to support this meaningful new construction by providing site design, landscape architecture, and surveying services. From early planning to opening day, it’s been a truly sweet project for our team. We even did our due diligence during the soft opening, with a few raSmith team members stopping by to sample some very tasty custard!

Our team was honored to attend the tree placement at Summit Credit Union’s new Cottage Grove Road branch—an exciting milestone for a truly unique project.
raSmith served as Structural Engineer of Record, designing the steel structure and foundations. We worked closely with Strang, Inc. and WholeTrees Structures to thoughtfully integrate the tree column into the overall structural system. This isn’t just a design feature—it’s a functional element that directly supports the steel roof framing. A great example of collaboration bringing innovative ideas to life.
Precision, strong coordination, and expert field oversight — this $1.5 million project shows what it takes to rebuild critical infrastructure. We enjoyed the opportunity to provide #ConstructionServices for the new Wisconsin Avenue bridge over the Oconomowoc River in Waukesha County, which included the installation of 92-foot girders for structural support. Additional improvements along the one-mile corridor included roadway resurfacing, new guardrail and signing, and updated pavement markings to enhance safety and functionality.
Several raSmith team members enjoyed an all-inclusive Milwaukee Brewers experience last week in the Aurora Bullpen at American Family Field. Despite a major rainstorm moving through the Milwaukee area, our crew braved the weather to catch the game. From the first pitch all the way through the 10th inning, it was a fun night of baseball, good food, and team connections.

We’re proud of contributing to many projects in Milwaukee, including Summerfest, E. Wells Street, Joan of Arc Chapel at Marquette University, and others.
We switched things up at raSmith’s Brookfield office with a “Brunch Meets Lunch” event, trading in the traditional lunch for breakfast favorites. It was a great way to bring staff together, enjoy something different, and take a break from the usual routine. Events like these are a valued part of our workplace culture and help create opportunities to connect.

This exciting project will enhance one of the community’s most popular outdoor destinations by providing better access for people of all abilities to enjoy the beach, an event plaza with amphitheater seating, trail connections, improved parking lot safety, and other features. Together with the City and everyone involved, we’re proud to be part of this project and thrilled to see it advance from concept to construction (and completion before long)!

Construction is well underway for Foxtown Landing — an approximately $10 million, 28,000-square-foot dog-friendly establishment along the Milwaukee River in the historic Third Ward. This exciting project will feature a three-story building with a restaurant, taproom, distillery, and outdoor terrace that connects to a new RiverWalk extension and first-of-its-kind urban, public dog park. We’re collaborating with Stephen Perry Smith Architects and the owner, providing structural engineering, site design, and landscape architectural services to create an inviting riverfront destination.
