@alinea.a é um canal onde eu assistia os episódios de Joanesburgo por algum tempo. Naturalmente quando recebi o convite para partilhar os meus sons fiquei empolgado de juntar e planear (mais ou menos) um episódio.
Valorizo muito articular uma ideia fora da pista de dança, onde o ponto é mais ouvir e deixar que a música te leve algures, ou talvez a lado nenhum também...

@alinea.a is a channel I followed already from Johannesburg for quite some time. Naturally when I received an invite to put together & plan (more or less) I was super excited about the idea.
I really value spaces where you’re able to articulate yourself in a way, which isn’t focused on dance floor material and the point of the recording is to take you somewhere but also no where specifically...

O Passos Manuel foi um dos primeiros espaços que visitei logo na minha chegada a cidade; e pensei (o clássico) “adorava tocar aqui”
Apresenta um certo neo-noir / futurista, cinemático feel onde a iluminação e luz ambiental está on point, com um potencial para uma ganda-mini-rave na parte debaixo da “cave”. Com tudo isto talvez o mais importante - nele existe uma história já dos anos 70 e é de facto um espaço mítico em relação a cultura da noite na cidade do Porto.
Um ano depois tenho esse privilégio (com uma certa manifestação), de poder tocar a noite inteira, onde quero apresentar uma viagem ao meu ver, de sons electrónicos que coleciono ja algum tempão com muito sotaque e raiz da cena “underground” de Joanesburgo. Uma cidade que de uma forma ou outra, me moldou como artista e pessoa.
Com velhos amigos em espírito, espero estar com os meus novos amigos para celebrar isto tudo e bem como, o mais óbvio - uma noite de dança.

Passos Manuel was one of the very first nightlife spaces I visited upon arriving in the city; and I thought (the classic) “I’d love to play here.”
It carries a certain neo-noir / futuristic, cinematic feel where the lighting and atmosphere are on point, with the potential for a proper-mini-rave downstairs in the “cave.” Beyond all that, perhaps the most important point – it holds a history going back to the 70s and is an integral symbol within Porto’s nightlife culture.
One year later I have the privilege (with a bit of manifestation), to be able to play all night long, where I want to present a journey through my view, within an array of (deeper) electronic sounds that I’ve been collecting for quite some time – with a strong accent and roots from the Johannesburg underground scene. A city that, in one way or another, has shaped me as both an artist and as a person.
With old friends in spirit, I hope to be with new friends to commemorate all of this, and the most obvious reason – celebrate a night of dance.
