Our new album Take Him River is now available!
This video is a tribute to the late Josh Morris, Leadville native and renouned kayaker, who tragically commited suicide in the spring 2019. While we know talking about mental health and reaching out can be more challenging than any physical feat, we would like to encourage and normalize talking about mental health and seeking help without shame. Mental health can be an extremely difficult subject, and we really encourage anyone dealing with these issues to please reach out. (e.g - )
Rapidgrass dedicates their new album, Take Him River, to Josh Morris and anyone struggling with their mental health. The album was written, recorded, mixed, and mastered at the Banff Centre of Arts and Creativity. GoPro Mountain Games would like to premier the official music video on instagram for Take Him River produced by @F4DStudio .
“Bears dancing in the forest is a song I wrote about the wonder of the wilderness. I wrote the song while I was on a trail run. When I reached a meadow I saw two bears and it looked like they were almost dancing together, but it might have been just me… When I wrote the storyline for the video I wanted to capture a “Where The Wild Things Are” feel with the narrative. The boy, Wilder Mond, gets tucked in and dreams about all of his favorite things, music and skiing. When he awakes he notices that maybe it wasn’t a dream after all! This light hearted video is meant to embrace the wonder in life and show how nature can have a profound influence in our everyday life.” - Mark Morris

And we definitely can say that we feel that when Rapidgrass shares their music and creative expression with us each time they've been a part of the festival! Welcome back Rapidgrass!
