A big elephant keeping an eye on us and his baby while the rest of the herd crossed the road in front of us. Elephants will travel in a herd (or parades) however the males will sometimes leave the herd and continue on their own when they get older, as they become much more agressive. 🐘

Here you can clearly see the glacier's path as it is getting smaller. The seracs slowly falling while being pushed from the back.
Helicopters are most of the time the only way for scientists to go to their cameras and measuring equipments. Placed on each sides of the glacier, these tools would otherwise be almost unreachable.

The first nights are always the best.
Pretty sketchy place to set my tent but scientists I worked with and who work on this glacier actually suggested this spot as the safest place to set up.
And it has a pretty good view in the morning! 🌄
