This heartfelt project has been a rollercoaster of challenges, from two lockdowns with a complete shutdown of
@filmakademie_bw , many rescheduled shoots, juggling teams, and constant underfinancing. But finally we had a wonderful shoot in the beginning of 2021, isolated from the outside world, in a small East German village called Klosterheide.
We were warmly welcomed by the locals, who consistently supported us despite the challenging nature of the film’s topic. As a team, this isolated experience brought us closer together, and we want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to each and every one of you. Without your support, this beautiful film wouldn’t have been possible.
After a long postproduction phase, our journey continued with various festivals, including winning at the fantastic
@filmfestival_fftd , and was also crowned with a nomination for the
@firststepsaward .
