My house edit of “Gently Johnny” by Paul Giovanni and Magnet is now streaming on @soundcloud . The song is an integral part of the bizarre “freak folk” sound track which underpinned the slow burning, ominous feeling of the classic 1973 horror film ‘The Wicker Man.’ I sought to draw a parallel between the ancient pagan rituals of SummerIsle and the modern rituals of music and movement found on dance floors across Brooklyn, Berlin and beyond. I hope you enjoy it!
