Ein Olympischer Traum!
Es ist eigentlich nicht fassbar, welch einen Weg ich gehen musste, um an diesen Punkt in meinem Leben zu gelangen. Alle Erfolge stehen diesem nach, weil es das einzige war, was ich immer wollte - und das schon als kleiner Junge. Ich habe es als Trainer und Sportler geschafft - aber sicher nicht alleine! Oft haben meine Engsten mehr an mich geglaubt als ich selbst. Und dann ist da noch eine höhere Gnade. Diese ist mir zugefallen, ohne darüber selbst verfügen zu können: Meine Dankbarkeit richtet sich daher an meine Lieben und dieses ewig Größere, das meinem Leben Sinn gibt und meine Leidenschaft für das Laufen begründet.
My Olympic dream is coming true!
It’s almost unbelievable the path I’ve had to take to reach this point in my life. All other achievements pale in comparison because this has always been my ultimate goal - since I was a little boy. I’ve made it as both a coach and an athlete - but certainly not alone! Many times, my closest ones believed in me more than I believed in myself. And then there’s a higher grace. This has come to me without my own doing: My gratitude goes out to my loved ones and to this eternal absolute force that gives my life meaning and fuels my passion for running.

My indoor season has unfortunately come to an early end.
After a tough flu, it’s medically not advisable to compete in any more races. Resuming specific training would require caution and time - time I simply don’t have with World Indoors coming up.
Now it’s time to fully recover and shift the focus forward.
