FAR 01 | Bellingham | Saturday, May 30th This past Saturday, we did a full recon of our upcoming FAR. We’re excited to share some of the images from that ride and invite you to join us! With its stunning proximity to Kulshan (Mt. Baker) and the Salish Sea, Bellingham offers a spectacular setting for an unforgettable day on the bike, including big gravel climbs, deep forested trail networks, and smooth valley roads. Knobby tires, climbing gears, a spirit of adventure, and the determination to persevere are all prerequsites for this ride. Bring these and this promises to be a day you won’t soon forget! Exclusively for RCC members, FARs are days to discover your limits, and keep going! Space is limited, so reserve your spot today. Link to details & RSVP in bio.

On the 15th of March, we will close the doors to our Clubhouse on E Pine Street for the final time. Thank you to all the people, past and present, who have come through our doors, ridden with our community, and helped build such a remarkable community together. A special thanks to our dedicated Clubhouse team, our exceptional ride leaders and our committed members. You have made the past 9️⃣ years more meaningful and memorable than we ever could have imagined.  The road does not end here! To send off our beloved Clubhouse, we are hosting a special “Last Lap” ride on the 14th of March at 10am for a proper send off for the Clubhouse, a toast to the community and a look at what’s to come this season, which will include the return of FAR, weekly Disco and Thrilla rides, regular weekend rides and opportunities to gather off the bike. Check the RCC App for details on Saturday’s ride and we hope to see you on the road!

Rapha’s Festive 500 is an annual challenge to ride 500km in the week between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. In true Case of the Mondays fashion, we decided to do the whole thing in one, continuous push: riding from North Bend to the Canadian border and back. Some call it a “brevet.” Why do we waste our time on these crazy, long things? We get asked some version of that question every time we do something like this. The short answer is because that’s where the growth is. Because it’s fun to be challenged. To be pushed to your limit. To have to solve new problems in new places. To make core memories with friends. Because when you’re out there, moving through space for 8 or 10 or 24 hours, you don’t have the capacity to think about anything other than where you are and what you’re doing. We think that’s a gift. It took our boys 27 hours to ride 520 kilometers, with temperatures below freezing for most of that. And they had a blast. So, go do something crazy. Go ride your bike. Time is precious. Waste it wisely.

Day Five. Into the pines and through the ferns with the Seattle Clubhouse for a 500km Brevet Ride. Riding in the Pacific Northwest can test the most seasoned cyclists, but part of riding here is embracing the challenge.

RCC Members’ Week continues - a new tradition, programmed entirely for our members. Do you ever pull out your old yearbooks and get just a little nostalgic looking through old pictures? Well, that’s exactly what we’ve been doing during Rapha’s first ever RCC Members’ Week. Not quite 10 years ago - in the Summer of 2018 - RCC Seattle did a series of adventure rides we called the Cascade Triple Crown. Bikepacking was a relatively new concept for many of us. Gravel wasn’t nearly the rage that it is today. And pretty much everyone was on rim brakes and 28mm slicks. “I was encouraged and pushed to do things I never thought possible.” — Claire Law, RCC #19735 “These were about taking on challenges with your community and loving every second of it” — Ryan Shaedig, RCC #13478 “To me, the RCC is a community that grows with you on and off the bike.” — Jason Schrage, RCC #1281 As we look ahead to the next 10 years, we’re filled with deep gratitude for the people who have made this past 10 years so special. Chapeaux!!! Check out our Rides & Events Schedule for Members’ Week (posted on our feed) and head over to the RCC app to get all the details so you can join us in celebrating this truly amazing community. 📸 Portraits by our friends and former RCCSEA Community Leads @notbokanev & @carmararda 🙏🏼
