You buy a call spread 100% 110% of an equity stock, is your Vega positive or negative? Hint: use a black Scholes assumption to answer the question #college #finance #us #equity

10 advice to break into finance 1. Use Apollo/Kaspr google extensions to get mails of the people you try to contact. 2. Make sure your resume is finance structured, you can use financecv.fr (free) 3. Always thank the interviewer after an interview the day after. 4. Understand the structure of your interview and train accordingly on each part. Ex: behavioral, brain teaser, probability questions, technical questions. 5. Go out in bars & clubs, you will meet people that work in finance and might help you later on. We underestimate how much knowing an insider helps you get in too. 6. Read the news. Understand recent potential trades that the desk could have made. 7. Make some research on the person that you will have an interview with to find a common point you could talk about during the call. 8. Understand perfectly a project that you made that can interest the interviewer. 9. Find a friend to train with on coding/projects/questions. It might help you train faster. 10. For coding questions, use Leetcode or Hackerrank to train. Get used to Hackerrank as it is mostly used by hedge funds for testing coding abilities through projects. You can also train on a training platform I created, to access it comment “trading” and I’ll send the link to you. #trading #finance #nyc #us #college
