Every artist carries a landscape within their music. For Ranzen Jha, it begins in Janakpur, where folk rhythms and devotional songs first sparked a lifelong curiosity for sound.
What started as inspiration became creation. He founded the Bhoomi Folk Festival, celebrating Madhesh’s folk heritage while exploring modern electronic music.
Along the way, Ranzen promoted Asian electronic talent through Krunk Kulture, collaborated with Balen Shah, and performed with Paul Oakenfold at the high-altitude SoundTrek Everest. Today, he continues to blend tradition and innovation, shaping the sound of a new generation.

I have officially withdrawn from Boiler Room Nepal which was recorded on 23rd of November 2024 in Kathmandu.
As someone who has always believed in the power of music to foster solidarity, resistance, and community, I cannot in good conscience allow my work to be associated with a platform now owned by Superstruct Entertainment, whose parent company KKR is directly linked to investments in Israeli weapons manufacturing, surveillance technology, and companies involved in the illegal occupation of Palestinian land. The profits from our creative labor should never fuel violence, occupation, or the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.
I played at the first-ever Boiler Room in Nepal with the hope of representing our scene and sharing our sounds with the world. But as artists, we have a responsibility to ensure our platforms and partnerships reflect our values. I stand firmly with the Palestinian people in their struggle for justice, dignity, and liberation, and I refuse to be complicit, even indirectly, in systems that perpetuate their oppression.
Love & Peace. ✊🏼
