* This was never about creating a better life for the people of Iran, it was always about the oil and kissing up to Netanyahu (two criminals trying to avoid prison)
* The fact that people don’t look at this country, this administration as a dictatorship blows my mind
* Continually blaming the democrats (who need to plan a retreat and get their shit together) for everything is not a sign of leadership, but a weak individual (and felon) that thinks bullying is the way to go
* His latest post about democrats being the next greatest threat to America is honestly insane
* He is determined to get the SAVE Act passed, making voting harder for people (women and black and brown people) and rig the midterms so even the lamest of lame republican candidate can win
* STILL- We’ve stopped talking about THE EPSTEIN FILES- how many other distractions can we have to derail this process???
* The fact that there is no money for TSA agents (yet again tying it to another budget) but has the balls to pay ICE thugs and ask for money to purchase missiles and drones is insane

* Also as a final point, why are they so scared of women making their own choices? Living this ow lives, running companies, and frankly doing whatever the fuck we want to do? If we want to marry (whoever we wish) and have a family, that is our own decision not the governments!
Cheers to 26 years of marriage! What makes it work you ask, we support each other and give the latitude we need to have our own identity outside of our marriage. * Back to the war, no war- isn’t it ironic that trump has to ask Ukraine for drones as he totally underestimated everything about this situation. Killing 168 children, the loss of our own military service personnel. I wonder if he will say thank you.

It’s hard to believe that it’s 9 years today you left this earth. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of your spit fire personality, your sharpness, and the love you had for your family (sometimes to a fault). You have missed your two amazing grandchildren grow up and become even more incredible. But you have also missed a country gone insane and you’d be sad to see what the idiot in charge is doing on a daily basis. For some reason I think I’m relieved that you’re not here to witness that last part. You were a piece of work Gloria, and I loved you throughout it all.

Hard to believe the 20th anniversary of the Charleston Wine + Food Festival is upon us.
I vividly remember attending year one, and thinking to myself how incredible of an event it was, and that somehow I want to be a part of it. That opportunity presented itself year two in the form of contract labor. I convinced Angel Holmes, (then Postel) and Nathalie Dupree to hire me for that position and started months before without being paid since so much had yet to be done.
I sat with Ashley Gunnin and Stacey Perrow in a closet at Culinary Institute campus downtown and got to work. I was bitten by the festival bug and remember how exhausted and how pumped I was to be a part of something so special.
It takes a village and that village made it happen. The tenting and rentals (jason and Denise), the AV + lighting from PDA (Jeff, Todd, Keith, Eric, Brandon, Bradford and Chris) SCE&G layout pipe so we can gas our prep tent (should put to Pam, Allen and the whole crew), All the cooking equipment from Berlins, All the pots and Dutch ovens from Le Creuset, decor from so many, but Mitchell Crosby being the first one for many years, Sargent Lawrence handled all the security, volunteer coordination(Marla and Georgia) clean up crew, recycling and so much more. To all the homeowners that allowed us to do events in their homes, the distributors for all the beverage. The glassware from Stozel (Edward), Natures Calling (portolets and dumpsters), photos from Paul, and all the early supporters. Larry Lipov made sure beer was part of it all and his crew was the best! Book sales, artisans and more. Shout out to jimmy hagood. We grew and grew and for the 7 years I was there I wore being a staff member like a badge of honor. I was proud of the part I played. We had a solid crew to make it all happen: Sara, Austin, Zack, Ashley and Paul (ticketing was a Bitch) and all the contract staff, volunteers, Lisa B the queen- my crew of Jen Caruso and Katy Perrin. Everyone was a rockstar.
