The story behind Love Letters starts in New York City, and in the short time after I got back home, while everything was still processing inside.
Last December I flew to NYC with Romi and Max to play a few shows, my first visit to the city.
I had an amazing time.
We played music,
We felt a city that breathes music 24/7,
We went to many kinds of events playing genres we love, such as jazz clubs and house music dance floors.
All the while meeting lovely people.
Throughout this experience, the melodies were born.
I came back home with a mission, and to carry it out I called my good friend
@gididerzymusic
Gidi is an amazing musician and producer who I met a while back and ever since been a fan of his work.
We first met at the Groove Center about 10 years ago, a rehearsal and studio space that feels like home to me. I practice there, and every project I’m involved in happens in this place. Over the years Gidi and I got to know each other and built an amazing chemistry as friends, and I believe we both felt it would naturally come to life through music one day.
Gidi my brother, I’m so grateful for this process. Thank you for being the perfect harmony all along the way. You completed me and this project in the best way possible.
I’ll finish with a few words about the album.
This album, to me, is like a series of love letters, each song holding a different emotion.
A letter between ourselves and our loved ones,
between who we were in the past and who we will become, and where we want to be.
It’s both nostalgic and hopeful about the moments yet to come 💙
Thanking God for this piece of music.
