One day in Toledo 🏰
A 30 minute train ride from Madrid, visiting Toledo felt unreal. Am I in a movie? A video game? Are those hills for real and will I be climbing every single one? (No, no, and yes.)

Lo! I had never read J. R. R. Tolkien’s poem to his wife until this commission, and holy Gandalf, was I missing out.
This piece was commissioned for a pair of newlyweds by their friend and wedding officiant. The poem was read during this wedding ceremony, and now, it can live in their home forever 🥹
Commissioned pieces are a labor of love (no room for error!), but somehow…they’re some of my favorites. In a world full of mass-produced gifts, these feel more thoughtful and permanent.
(Random fun fact: we played The Shire for a part of our Zoom wedding, so this commission gave me extra feels 🥰)

When the backdrops actually showcase the engravings 🥲
My first event with Breitling this holiday season was to engrave on whiskey glasses and champagne flutes 🥂
While you can always add filling to glassware, it is not recommended if you’re planning to actually, ya know, use the glasses.
Why? Because fillings are not food safe ‼️ It’s always best to leave any engravings that could come near a mouth unfilled 🤓
