Making magic in Brooklyn ⚡️
Beyond grateful for the opportunity to attend the @edenstrader artificial light workshop — it was so incredible to learn from Eden + her amazing team, and to meet a community of the most talented photographers! Thank you Eden, for taking something that can feel so overwhelming and for making it feel accessible AND fun!
Now, time to get a little sappy:
A year ago, even a couple months ago, I wouldn’t have had the courage to sign-up for a workshop, to invest the time and money into something that felt intimidating and scary, all for myself… BUT, I promised myself that 2024 would be the year that I finally put the work into myself — that I would do the things that are intimidating, say yes to the opportunities that I know will give way to growth, to invest in myself + my career, and hardest of all: to believe in myself. I’ve always played it safe, but I’m finally at the point where I’m ready to trust in chasing the things that bring me joy and allowing myself to find who I truly am throughout this journey.
So, I am officially rejecting the fears that have always controlled me, and instead, I am embracing the beauty in allowing myself to try, try, fail, and try again. Our lives are what we make of them and there’s no use in hiding in fear, worrying about all the “what-ifs” — it’s time to find the beauty in each mundane moment of our lives, to chase the light, and to step into our true selves.
