This breathtaking project in Los Altos Hills is a testament to thoughtful design. The talented team at @randythuemedesign masterfully transformed a steep hillside into a stunning, multi-level outdoor living and entertaining space. We were thrilled to learn from Studio Director Aaron Joseph Jurgens about how this awe-inspiring project came to life. Read the full article in the link in our bio. A favorite for cascading over walls or mounded greenscapes is Casuarina glauca ‘Cousin It’. This plant thrives in full sun to partial shade and offers a pleasingly soft, fine texture. Photography by: @caitlinatkinson_photography

The home, perched on a ridge overlooking the San Francisco Bay, features an internal canyon with bridges connecting private and public spaces. This design mirrors the canyon landform on which the residence is situated. The landscape design incorporates elements of defensible space through the use of materials and strategic planting. A minimalist palette of concrete and steel defines the hardscape, while Grevillea lanigera ‘Coastal Gem’ and Lomandra longifolia ‘Breeze’ soften the exterior gathering spaces.
