“Hop in The PINK Mobile” - This mix is curated and blended by OHEMGHI a DJ,Producer and Vocalist located in the DM(V) Virginia. This mix showcases a space-like aura, with fluctuations in sound and genres, which can be described as “QuirkHouse”— music with a nostalgic yet futuristic touch. Featuring genres and artists like: Ghetto House, R&B/Soul, “TLC”,Nu Disco,”Durand Bernarr”,“Quemist”, Modern House, Latin/Afro House, Techno, Baile Funk, Hip Hop and more. Enjoy!
Enjoy this mix in a car ride with the best late night vibes or with headphones as you run your errands.
This month instead of a dj mix we decided to highlight a psychedelic album recorded in 1974. A senior project at a small Quaker boarding school in Newtown, Pennsylvania, “Eternal Life” is the product of Shira Small’s four years away from the Wagner Projects in East Harlem. In Harlem, Small grew up imitating Ray Charles, the Temptations, Ella Fitzgerald—and Joni Mitchell Recognizing talent, her music teacher Lars Clutterham convinced her to record an album of original material as her senior project. The money to press the album was drummed up by pre-sales and a few generous parents, with all 500 copies distributed to students and faculty of Newton’s George School. Enjoy
New styles added to the site and older styles on sale. Thanks for your support enjoy.
Since Trump has entered the White House there has been an attempt to “sanitize” or “whitewash” American history in public display. These removals show us we need to continue to be the stewards of our own stories.
