It's been a minute since I've posted just regular OG Chuuya and MY GOD. It felt so good to cosplay him again. As weird as it may sound, it felt like home. It just goes to show you that you should always have at least one comfort cosplay in your closet. I was nervous to wear him again, but I needed comfort, and boy, did he show up. It's silly to say that this character has gotten me through some of my best and worst moments, but it's true. I started out hating him on the series until about season 3 when we got Dazai Chuuya Age 15 - that's when I really started to delve into him as a character. He was the first cosplay I wore upon my return to my original con, Otakon. He has probably been my most used cosplay for photoshoots and for sfx makeup attempts. He has given me so many amazing friends and memories. It's silly to say that writing this is making me tear up, but I'm going to be so real with you all - thanks to this cosplay, I gained confidence I didn't know that I had. So thank you to anyone who has ever said hello or stopped to talk Bungo Stray Dogs with me. Thank you to anyone who has ever asked me to join a collab or has held a meetup that I could attend. Thank you to everyone who has complimented this cosplay or that I've created a connection with over this silly little gravity user. Thank you to everyone who had given me a treasured memory in this cosplay. Okay, I'm done being sappy now - time to open a bottle of wine.

I am going to be screaming forever thanks to these photos, so I hope you all like Vash as much as I do because I have quite a few to still share! Seriously, though, it felt as if I were in a movie. Vash has meant so much to me when I was first getting into anime - his silly quotes were funny, but his serious quotes contained life lessons. He struggled by kept a smile on his face and never stopped moving no matter how hard or sad things got. I learned so many things about tenacity, love, and resilience from this silly man, and this silly series. The emotion that @johnnyyongbosch out into this character back in '98 and again in Stampede humanized him - something Vash always wanted. If I ever met him, I would honestly cry because he has voiced some pivotal characters for me. I met Vash at Otakon 2002 in a viewing room of the first episode - he had blonde hair like me, blue eyes like me, and a mole right below/beside his eye like me. He never gave up no matter how hard things got or what he had to sacrifice of himself - he pushed on, never giving up on others. He showed everyone in the series and her that the world can be made of LOVE AND PEACE!

To keep with the unintentional beach theme of the last few photos but to spice it up a little bit, what if I cosplayed a different Ackerman? I've toyed with the idea of cosplaying Mikasa for a long time because she's such a strong character who I find absolutely fascinating. I'm so happy that I was able to bring her to the beach when we went because she's a part of a project that I've been putting off but means so much so hopefully I'll be able to share that with all of you soon!
Fun fact: this scarf is from my high school days when I participated in All-Star choir for downtown light up night. I also thought about using it for Eddie (Angels of Death).

Apparently, it's Mihawk's birthday, and I have one last solo photo left to share from when we were in San Diego (Take me back!) Look at that slutty little shoulder - it's just one of the numerous silly little things that I adore about Vanitas. Why wear such a ridiculous coat only to half wear it? Vanitas is such a fun cosplay to wear. Between his boot covers, all of his bows and gigantic coat, he's so over the top in both personality and costume.
